Service & Outreach Ministries:

Why serve others?

As St. Mother Teresa said, "Love cannot remain by itself - it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service."

To serve others is to imitate Christ. Service teaches us humility, empathy and helps us appreciate the blessings in our own lives.

Ladies Guild

We invite all ladies of the parish to join the Ladies Guild.  The Ladies Guild meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:15 am in the Parish Hall, September through April.  Each meeting begins with addressing any new business, followed by interesting presentations from a variety of speakers in our community and beyond and ends with a delicious luncheon prepared by members.  The year is filled with spiritual growth, as well as service and social opportunities.  The year culminates at the highly anticipated Ladies Guild which is always a sellout.  Proceeds from the annual event are shared with charities organizations at-need in the community.

Joining the Ladies Guild is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and get involved in the Holy Family community!  The annual donation of $20 helps to defray meeting costs.  For additional information, please contact Florence Wilkins at grammiflorence@gmail.com.

Rosary Makers

The mission of the Holy Family Rosary Makers is to spread devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to promote praying the rosary by making two types of cord rosaries, the regular five decade rosary and the Seven Sorrows rosary.

Our supplies are funded by the Holy Family Ladies Guild. The rosaries are distributed FREE to members of our parish. Regular five decade rosaries can be found on the rack in the back of the church while the Seven Sorrows rosaries are found in the Chapel for distribution. We also plan to make rosaries for the 2025-2026 Confirmation classes. The group meets on designated Fridays after the 8:00 am Mass in the Parish Hall.  All are welcome to join us and no experience is needed.

Cursillo

Cursillo (pronounced Cur-see-yo) is a movement of the Catholic Church that promotes Catholic ideals, fellowship, and spiritual growth in daily living. It provides an opportunity to deepen your Catholic faith, and to experience the love of God within a supportive and prayerful community. The Cursillo is a method of giving those, who have the potential of influencing others, a personal encounter with Christ and the means to further enhance, support, and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelizing their environments. For more information, contact Mike or Carolyn Solly, sollyx2hhi@yahoo.com, or the SC Catholic Cursillo website: https://charlestondiocese.org/cursillo/
