Baptism

Baptism symbolizes spiritual rebirth through water and the Holy Spirit, expressing God’s grace and the community’s commitment to support the newly baptized.

Baptism Planning at Holy Family

Welcome!

We are truly joyful that you have chosen to baptize your child at Holy Family Catholic Church. This moment is more than a family milestone—it is a sacred beginning, a beautiful step into a life shaped by God’s grace, love, and promise. Through baptism, your child becomes part of a faith community that has carried the light of Christ for generations, and we are honored to walk with you as you nurture that light in your home.

As parents, you are the first and most important teachers of faith. Your love, your example, and your commitment to raising your child in the ways of Christ are powerful gifts. Our parish community stands beside you, ready to support, encourage, and pray for your family as you guide your child toward a deeper relationship with God.

May this time of preparation be filled with peace, reflection, and gratitude for the blessing entrusted to you. We celebrate with you today, and we look forward to welcoming your child into the family of God through the waters of baptism.

We ask that you, as parents, please read through each of the tabs above to become familiar with the sacrament and our guidelines at Holy Family.

In order to prevent any miscommunication, the Parish Office will only coodinate details with the parents of the child, which includes but is not limited to scheduling, preparation, paperwork, and logistical questions regarding the baptism.

Parishioners & Non-Parishioners are Welcome

Parishioners and non-parishioners are welcome to have their child baptized at Holy Family.

Non-Parishioners are required to submit a letter from their pastor at their home parish granting permission for your child to be baptized at Holy Family.  This letter must be mailed to the Holy Family Parish Office and include the raised seal of your parish.

Parents whose children are not baptized and over the age of 7 years old should contact Martha Rivera, Director of Faith Formation, at education@holyfamilyhhi.org to enroll in Faith Formation class.
