Bereavement Ministry:

This ministry offers to host and provide a meal following the Funeral Mass. They also provide follow-up with the family over a period of time. Meals are prepared by members of the bereavement Committee and all ladies of the parish are encouraged to participate.

Cuando la parte de nuestro ministerio, el Gremio de Damas de la Iglesia de la Sagrada Familia ofrece una comida del luto en el Vestíbulo de Schiller. Esta comida se proporciona sin ningún gasto a la familia del difunto, aunque aceptamos de cualquier contribución el afligido quizás desee hacer para ayudar a pagar los gastos. Ofrecemos comida de tipo desayuno, un almuerzo frío, o un almuerzo caliente. Las comidas se preparan y son servidas en el Vestíbulo de Schiller por miembros del Comité del luto y todas damas de la parroquia son alentados a participar. Si desea servir en este Ministerio.

Breakfast with Saint Nicholas:

Held on the Saturday closest to December 6 – is a meal time spent with Saint Nick. Volunteers are needed to help where needed. Photos are taken.

Cursillo/Ultreya:
|
The Cursillo Movement is a movement of the Catholic Church. The name Cursillo is Spanish, meaning short course, and is often associated with a 3-Day weekend - which is only one aspect of the Cursillo Movement. The proper name is Cursillo de Cristiandad (short course of Christianity). There is much more to the Cursillo Movement than just a 3-Day weekend. The Cursillo Movement can assist each of us in developing a deeper understanding of what it means to be fully Catholic by being fully Christian.
There is a large and active Cursillo community here on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton. If you have been on a Cursillo Weekend or are interested in knowing more, please contact the parish office. Monthly Ultreya are held here at Holy Family. DeColores!

Kairos:

Kairos in general means a special time. Kairos evolved from Cursillo and is an ecumenical ministry designed to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of state and federal correctional institutions.
Kairos serves nine men’s and women’s prisons in South Carolina. Studies have shown a dramatic reduction in the re-incarceration rate among the residents who have experienced Kairos. It is a powerful experience |  |

Ladies Guild:

The Ladies Guild of Holy Family is open to all women of the parish (full and part time). As women we support the spiritual, cultural and social needs of our parish and community. Monthly meetings, the 4th Wednesday of the month, from September to May allow us to plan and meet our goals for the year as well as enjoying fellowship and lunch.
