| FAITH FORMATION |
Religious Education: | The Religious Education program at Holy Family provides sound catechetical instruction in our Catholic Faith. We recognize our responsibility to assist parents, who are the primary formers of their children, in faith. Our mission is to help our children and young people to develop a love for Jesus, a life of prayer and devotion, a sound knowledge of their faith, a love of the sacraments and service to others, which leads to holiness. Religious Education classes meet Sundays, 9:20 – 10:45 from September – May in Seitz and Schiller Halls. All catechists are required to be in good standing with the Catholic Church, living their faith in their daily lives, attending regular catechetical meetings where continuing education takes place, and conforming to all Diocesan requirements. Many varied opportunities are presented to our youth to grow in their faith and in service to our community. This ministry gives opportunities to go on trips, participate in workshops, retreats and dances. These opportunities for on-going education provide continued growth in the doctrine of the Catholic Church, Holy Scriptures and Magisterial teaching. | Educación Religiosa: | El programa de Educación Religiosa en La Iglesia de la Sagrada Familia proporciona la instrucción sana de catequismo en nuestra Fe Católica Romana. Reconocemos que nuestra responsabilidad de ayudar a padres, que son el los primeros maestros de sus niños, en la fe. Nuestra misión deberá ayudar nuestros niños y a jóvenes a desarrollar un amor para Jesús, una vida de la oración y la devoción, un conocimiento sano de su fe, un amor de los sacramentos que llevan a la santidad. Todos catequistas son requeridos a estar en la posición buena con la Iglesia Católica, viviendo su fe en su vida diariamente, asiste las reuniones regulares de catequismo donde continuando la educación suceden, y se conforman a todos requisitos Diocesanos. Pre-Adolescente: Niños y niñas de edades 7 anos a 11 anos que comparten, hacen obras de caridad en la comunidad. Grupo Juvenil: Jóvenes de edades 12 a 17 anos que están en la escuela. Hacen viajes, participan en taller, retiros, bailes. Los juveniles se reúnen los jueves de 7:00 p.m. a 8:30 p.m. Grupo de Joven Adultos: Jóvenes de las edades 18 a 35 anos que están trabajando y no están en la escuela. Hacen viajes, participan en taller, retiros, bailes. Los joven adultos se reúne los domingos después de la misa a las 8:15 pm. a 10:00 pm. | RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults): | | The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) names the process by which interested persons gradually become members of the Catholic Church. The R.C.I.A. is primarily a journey of faith from the awareness of stirring of faith and curiosity within one’s heart, through all the stages of asking and seeking, through beginning involvement with Catholic people, through hearing the Gospel proclaimed and by faithful reflection and prayer on the Word of God, through study and discussion about the Catholic experience, through doubts and hesitations, through discernment of God’s call, through the steps of commitment via the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation) to a life of faith, love and justice lived in communion with the Catholic Church.
